Trinity College Dublin Library

Since Linda's granddaughter starts at Trinity this week we thought it would be nice to feature some pictures we took there during our tour in 2015. Allan mentioned that he is a bibliophile. It would be nearly impossible to get him out of here.

Founded in 1692, it is the largest library in Ireland with over 6 million printed manuscripts, journals, maps and music. Our tour guide was a graduate student who roomed with Jack Gleeson, aka Joffrey Baratheon, Game of Thrones!!

Rabat Morocco, we visit the hospital where Linda was born!!

We were not even certain if the building was still standing. The staff at our hotel, The Diwan, knew that the hospital, once part of Port Lyautey Naval Air Station where her father was stationed, was being razed to make way for a Four Seasons so the concierge drove the four of us there so we could stand near the spot. It was a poignant moment. Do you think we got there just in time?  https://www.facebook.com/groups/3211569802202093/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Air_Station_Port_Lyautey

In Aruba, a shopping haven ... for the ladies

I came upon this scene in Aruba, but it’s a universal phenomenon. The women shop and the men look for a place to sit. This would be a good entry for a funny parody account on Instagram called “Shopping With Their Ladies: The Miserable Men of Instagram.” A couple of years ago, a mall in Shanghai introduced “husband rest cabins”, spaces with comfortable leather chairs and video games where husbands could relax while their wives shop to their heart’s content. It wasn’t quite so fancy in Aruba.
