Do you keep your travel pictures on your phone? If so, how long?

So, I'm curious about something. Do you keep your travel pictures on your phone? If so, how long? This is a selfie of Dave and I at a brief stop at a North Shore beach on Oahu in March. We were on a private tour conducted by now dear friends to give us some local insights. Often travel photos are put in an archive somewhere on the computer (with appropriate cloud backup, of course). They're accessible but several steps are required to get to them.

I retrieved this particular shot quickly because it was on my phone, as are probably all of the shots from our Hawaii trip. Oh, they're backed up on Google photos, too, but I've left them on my phone just because I've had so much fun sharing various ones with friends and family in the euphoria after our trip. I emailed it to myself because that seemed quicker than attaching the phone to the computer and downloading.

So, back to the original question: Do you keep your travel pictures on your phone? If so, how long? If so, do you back them up? Where? Just wondering. I'm sure Dave will have something to say about this, either in a comment or in his own post.

Rabat Morocco, we visit the hospital where Linda was born!!

We were not even certain if the building was still standing. The staff at our hotel, The Diwan, knew that the hospital, once part of Port Lyautey Naval Air Station where her father was stationed, was being razed to make way for a Four Seasons so the concierge drove the four of us there so we could stand near the spot. It was a poignant moment. Do you think we got there just in time?  https://www.facebook.com/groups/3211569802202093/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Air_Station_Port_Lyautey

In Aruba, a shopping haven ... for the ladies

I came upon this scene in Aruba, but it’s a universal phenomenon. The women shop and the men look for a place to sit. This would be a good entry for a funny parody account on Instagram called “Shopping With Their Ladies: The Miserable Men of Instagram.” A couple of years ago, a mall in Shanghai introduced “husband rest cabins”, spaces with comfortable leather chairs and video games where husbands could relax while their wives shop to their heart’s content. It wasn’t quite so fancy in Aruba.
